ESSA radar coverage area - 7th august.

Hello from Riga.
Yesterday, on the 7th of august, I noticed, that ESSA radar has significantly increased coverage area. It showed planes even in eastern part of Lettland! And also - planes approaching to EVRA, were shown until 1500 m height or even lower. I was really surprised, it seemed too good to be true. Unfortunately today it returned back to its usual coverage
Obviously something was done with antenna.

We haven't made any changes to ESSA. To person hosting the radar is not at home, so it must have been something with the weather. Maybe the the pressure or humidity.

BTW, we are looking for someone in the baltic countires who is willing to host an radar. We just need to setup a small antenna ( http://wimo.de/bilder/17500.jpg ) on the roof and connect it to the radar ( http://wimo.de/bilder/SBS-1e_lrg.jpg ) and the internet. We will pay the equipment and installation. We only need a roof to place the antenna and 24h internet (0.02 Mbit/s is enough).

I have been interested in getting the SBS-1 for quite some time (and join it to flygradar.se), but haven't really be able to afford it in current economic situation.
Now I see you are ready to provide the hardware, that changes the things quite a bit.
I have a few locations in or near Riga in mind. One question - what is maximum allowable length of antenna cable for it? That might filter out one or few of those locations.
I am quite sure I might be able to do the installation myself but I suppose if you are providing h/w, you might want to make sure it really gets installed and tested.

Maximum length of the antenna cable is 15m, but i prefer if it's less than 10m. Actually there are some more things to install like a amplifier and sometimes we also install a small computer and a remote power switch (if the computer crash).
